It’s easy to forget how tiny your newborn was, but having these shots are a good reminder and can take you back, even just for a moment. I will never forget those wrinkly hands and feet each of my boys had when they were placed in my arms. I love photographing newborns for many reason, but my favorite things to photograph are these details, and I always love editing them in b+w because it really forces you to focus on the details like those little wrinkles and dry skin spot that all newborns have. Those tiny fingernails and chubby wrists. Those perfectly aligned toes that shoes have never touched, and those tiny, little lips.
